In the Richardson Pioneer Men’s Fastball League, the Stoney Creek Braves visited Wadena May 30th and defeated the Wadena Wildcats but fell to the Rosebud Royals.

The Braves opened against the Wadena Wildcats and jumped out to an early lead and held on with a 13-5 victory over the young Wadena squad. Braves Ryan Keshane went 4 for 5, while the Braves pitchers Dusty Keshane, Levi Keshane and Austin Keshane kept the Wildcat batters to 5 runs. Wildcat pitchers were Lucas Ochitwa and Nathin Pomedli while Brody Rumbold went 2 for 3 with a walk for the Wildcats.

In their second game the Braves jumped out to a 2-1 lead in the 1st and added one more in the second for a 3-2 lead. Royal veteran Darin Faubert picked up the Royals bats with a triple in the gap to tie the game. The Royals then took the lead 4-3 and held on through the seventh and final inning. Royals pitcher James Holowaty picked up the win pitching all 7 innings keeping the Braves scoreless in the last few innings for the victory. Braves send Rodney Hather and Dusty Keshane to the mound.

Saturday May 27th in the Richardson Pioneer Men’s Fastball League saw the Fishing Lake Cubs and Rosebud Royals split their double-header.

The Rosebud Royals picked up the first game with a 14-4 win with Steve Moulding pitching a complete game for the win and adding a home run. Royals Lance Holowaty went 3-3 with a HR, with Dyllon Murias also adding a home run. The Cubs send Corbitt Sabit to the mound in the loss.

In game two the Cubs picked up an 11 to 6 win with Hal Machiskinic pitching all 7 innings. The Cubs took a 6-4 lead in the 3rd and never looked back picking up two in the 5th and 3 in the 6th and shutting down the Royals in the top of the 7th. Chad Paquachan had a home run for the Cubs in the game and pitcher Hal Machiskinic helped his own cause getting on base all four at bats.

In Richardson Pioneer Men’s Fastball League action the Rosebud Royals defeated the Wynyard Blues 7-5 Thursday May 23rd in Wadena. The Rosebud Royals had a balanced attack with contributions from all parts of the batting order. On the Blues side of the plate Logan Karakochuk and Tayler Jordan went 3 for 4. Jordan also pitched the entire game for the Blues while James Holowaty pitched 4 innings and Steve Moulding pitched 3 for the Royals. The Royals next games are a double header in Fishing Lake under the lights against the Cubs Saturday May 27th at 6:00 and 8:00. The Blues next game is against the Wadena Wildcats in Wynyard Wednesday May 31st.

On May 22nd the Stoney Creek Braves rolled into Wadena and picked up a 9-0 victory against the young Wadena Wildcats. Dusty Keshane had a complete game shutout against the Wildcats while Ryan Keshane hit a home run. The Wildcats. The Wildcats pitched by committee again with Koltin Paquachan Lucas Ochitwa, and Nathen Pomedli sharing the duties. The Wildcats play May 25th in Foam Lake against the Merchants while the Braves were set to play a double header Saturday in Fishing Lake but had to reschedule due to a handful of their players attending the Summer Games tryouts that day.

The newcomers to the Richardson Pioneer Men’s Fastball League, Stoney Creek Braves, defeated the Fishing Lake Cubs 23-0 on Thursday in the Richardson Pioneer Men’s Fastball League. Dusty Keshane got the win on the mound pitching 4 innings with Rodney Hather closing out the last 3. The Braves sticks were hot with Lenny Keshane and Rodney Hather hitting ONE home run, Ralph Keshane hitting TWO and Dusty Keshane hitting THREE Home Runs. The Braves next game in the Richardson Pioneer Men’s Fastball League is in Wadena vs the Wildcats at 7:00 while the Cubs host a three games May 27th against the Braves at 4:00 and Royals at 8:00. The Braves face the Rosebud Royals at 6:00 that day also at Fishing Lake.

The Richardson Pioneer Men’s Fastball League Friday May 19th game saw the Foam Lake Merchants defeat the Rosebud Royals 15-3. The Merchants jumped out to an early lead and pitcher James Anderson kept the Royals bats quiet for most of the game in the victory. Merchants Zach Zadorozniak showcased his speed again with his second inside the park home run in two games. Royals Greg Tkarchuk went 2 for 3 on the day while Merchants Brennan Hack went 4 for 4. The Royals send Steve Moulding and James Holowaty to the hill. The Royals next action is against Wynyard Blues on Tuesday May 23rd 7:00 in Wadena, while the Merchants host the Wadena Wildcats Thursday May 25 at 7:00.
